The command console Mod. IRTX is an application which allows for the manual remote control and activation of a fire fighting monitor. This technique is preferred in situation where the fire monitors are installed nearby of the hazardous area they protect. In such circumstances should a fire take place they may be exposed to radiation resulting in heat flux higher than tolerable.
This scenario represents an additional challenge for the fire fighters whom find themselves obliged to deploy additional cooling techniques and/or dress specific protections only to reach the monitor point of manoeuvre. With the IRTX system in place it is possible to keep a simple and economical system architecture. It in fact allows for the monitor command to be manually and remotely operated from areas with lower heat radiation rate without implementing complex and costly Electric or Electro-Hydraulic control system.
The IRTX unit is made of an enclosure fitted with a hydraulic pumping system including a selector for the selection of the required movements (Rightwards, Leftwards; Upwards, Downwards; Jet, Fog) besides of the operation of the water and/or foam (optional) isolation valves. The system architecture will be suitable for installation within safe area.
