SICUR 2022 will showcase the latest technological developments and innovations in the security sector
The major International Security Trade Fair will bring together over 500 companies from 20 countries at IFEMA MADRID, from the 22 to 25 February 2022.
SICUR FORUM will look at the current situation in the sector and, rounding out the offering at this edition, it will present the INNOVATION GALLERY and the SICUR RESILIENCE SICUR CYBER and SICUR START UPS areas
SICUR 2022 will again bring together the professionals in the comprehensive security sector from the 22 to 25 February at IFEMA MADRID, for an especially significant event for all of the agents who are part of this industry, focusing on strongly promoting and boosting sector activity.
So far, a total of 529 companies, from 20 countries, have confirmed attendance: Germany, Australia, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Chile, China, Denmark, Arab Emirates, United States, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal and the United Kingdom, as well as Spain. They will show their latest technological innovations and developments throughout the three main areas in which SICUR is usually divided. On the one hand, Fire Safety and Emergencies, showing all of the products and solutions aimed for passive and active fire prevention, and for the world of fire-fighters; Labour safety, with the latest in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as well as occupational hazard prevention and new proposals for workplace health, and Security, which will showcase new products in electronic security, physical security and security services to protect assets and lives.
This edition will also have an area for cybersecurity, SICUR CYBER, focusing on the solutions and tools to protect corporate information, systems and data from cyber-threats, this year co-organised with Red Seguridad & Seguritecnia. SICUR CYBER will offer a program of conferences, workshops and business presentations aimed at raising awareness and informing on cybersecurity in the world of security, and to draw attention to the needs of the security industry and its progress on this issue
Along with the commercial side, another of SICUR’s advantages is its potential as a reference for knowledge. The SICUR FORUM conference program will look at some of the most current issues pertaining to all of the segments included in SICUR. As an introduction, ASELF will talk about Operative and Operational Security for Fire Fighting and about the regulatory framework; CEPREVEN/APTB will offer a conference on lessons learned and APICI/TECNIFUEGO will talk about innovation and new challenges. Regarding workplace safety, there will be a conference on the competences of public health and workplace health on controlling pandemics, organised by ANEPA, ASPREN and AESPLA; new challenges in occupational hazard prevention will be discussed: Mental Health/ Remote Work/ Digitalisation by the MAPFRE FOUNDATION and AESPLA, and ASEPAL and the MAPFRE FOUNDATION will offer a conference on the SDGs and Workplace Safety, Health and Wellbeing. The SICUR FORUM will also offer a conference organised by AES, on Security.
The SICUR RESILIENCE area, co-organised with PESI – Plataforma Tecnológica Española de Seguridad Industrial- will have an exhibition area that will bring together a variety of companies and organisations who are partners and collaborators with PESI, who will showcase their new products and technological developments on security and resilience; it will host the biennial Congress S2R (Safety Security & Resilience Research) and the Awards S2R Innovation and Women and Security Management.
As in every edition, the SICUR INNOVATION GALLERY will show a preview of the research and development lines that companies are working on. This year there were 100 submissions, which the judge panel will evaluate in January. The SICUR START UPS area is dedicated to supporting and promoting new projects and start-ups. There will also be exhibitions by the National Law Enforcement and Safety Agencies, Fire-fighters, EMTs, who as always will offer the attendees the chance to enjoy their spectacular performances and learn from the best practises of outstanding professionals.
