Residential Flashover Prevention
This video from UL Firefighter Safety Research Institute (FSRI) provides a brief overview of the UL FSRI Residential Flashover Prevention Research – Phase 1.
The objective of this study is to optimize the flow rate and distribution of water needed to prevent flashover in a residential fire scenario. The aim is to develop the basis for a low cost, retrofittable option for homeowners using the existing domestic water supply in detached single family homes.
