Niagara Electro-Hydraulic Monitor supplied by SA Fire Protection
The model Niagara electro-hydraulic is a remote-controlled monitor with single water way body. The monitor is capable of withstanding flows up to 20000 lpm (5200 gpm) and may be base flanged 3”, 4”, 6” or 8” UNI or ANSI. Movements on the vertical & horizontal plane are performed by hydraulic units that transfer oil through a hydraulic circuit to the monitor joints.
The joints are built in the monitor cast using a double channel system that host the rotational spheres. The Niagara Electro-hydraulic is available with 360° continuous rotation on the horizontal plane with 4 or 6 oil channels depending on the actuation selected for the nozzle/spreader. The monitor is equipped with a manual by-pass used to inhibit the remote control of the monitor.
The by-pass is manufactured with 4 channels that interconnects the hydraulic units with the actuators located on the monitor for the movements up/down and right/left. The same device is supplied with 6 channels when the monitor is to be coupled with an electro-hydraulic nozzle or spreader. The “S” shaped body is designed to balance the reaction force and couple the monitor with several different discharge outlets such as water branch pipes, foam branch pipes and nozzles. The materials of construction make it suitable for being used with sea water or water foam solution within industrial harsh environments & offshore applications.

- N°1 electro-hydraulic units 400V 3F 50 Hz – 0,37 kW – IP65 ATEX II 2G – Ex d IIC T4 for nozzle movement. Oil flow rate required for each unit 1.6 l/min.
