Two New Contracts for SA Fire Protection include Linde Engineering Dresden and Dräger Marine & Offshore in the Danish part of the North Sea.
SA Fire is pleased to announce that Linde Engineering Dresden, Linde AG, Engineering Division has awarded SAFire for the engineering, design, manufacturing, testing, inspection of deluge skids needed at the Inter Pipeline’s Polypropylene plant in Canada.
The water spray system and the foam system packages for the protection of the process area (compressors, extruders, recovery units, hot air units and peroxide room), will be completely engineered and designed as well as fabricated and tested by the SA Fire SPN factory in Messina whereas project management will instead be located at SA Fire PSA in Cascina (PISA). The deluge skids will be designed for low temperature installation such as those of the cold winter climates expected in Alberta, Canada.
This project is the second awarded by Linde Dresden to SA Fire which comes just after the conclusion of the La Porte polypropylene project in Texas, USA and reconfirms the confidence Linde Engineering is developing in SA Fire’s as trusted partner in fire protection solutions for chemical processes.
The second of the two new contracts for SAFire is with Dräger Marine & Offshore, in strict cooperation with SA Fire, have been awarded by Rosetti Marino for a deluge package on the Tyra Future Redevelopment Project which is in the Danish part of the North Sea.
The project award is for TEH platform on the Tyra East Platform and will include a customised deluge valve package in super duplex material with Electro-Pneumatic Pressure Regulating Actuation Trim.
The deluges valve bodies and their trim (as a complete solution) are suitable for hazardous area installation and will be manufactured by SAFire SPN factory in Messina .
With Total as the end user, this marks an important step for SA Fire’s involvement in complex multinational offshore projects.
