As a hugely successful product over many years, the DF130 forms an integral part of Delta Fire’s Portable Foam Equipment Range and is a leading tool for the mobile fire suppression.
This mobile foam unit is incredibly versatile and ergonomically designed for rapid one-man deployment to any high risk areas. It is capable of a massive foam output of more than 34,000 litres of finished low expansion foam from its 130 litre built-in tank. This allows for swift fire suppression and protection from spread. Any foam compounds can be used to suit individual requirements including Synthetic, Protein, Flouroprotein, AFFF, FFFP and alcohol resistant varieties.
The primary use of the DF130 is for the protection of oil storage and loading terminals, although it has proved to be effective in the protecting paints and solvent stores, boiler and engine rooms and many other high risk areas. This unit has also become a popular ‘one-stop’ solution to the waste and recycling sectors where combustible fire risk has to be mitigated.
The Delta DF130 comprises a chemically resistant foam tank finished in hi-viz international orange mounted on corrosion resistant plastic coated steel frame fitted with burst proof solid rubber tyres. The unit is connected to a pressurised water supply via a 15m length of Type 3 Nova layflat hose and foam concentrate is sucked into the water supply by means of a Delta Z225 Foam Inductor mounted on top of the tank. A second 15m length of hose conveys the foam solution to a Delta HV225 Foam Branchpipe that delivers the produced foam. On/Off ball valves are fitted to the branchpipe for enhanced operator control. Filled with a 3% foam concentrate the DF130 will provide in excess of 20 minutes run time.
Fitted as standard with the Z225 / HV225 Inductor and branchpipe, the DF130 is also available in alternative flow rates of either 450 or 900 litres per minute to satisfy all requirements. In line with the versatility of this product it can also be supplied with any variation of British or International fittings for compatibility to home markets and overseas customers alike.
A MKII version of the DF130 is geared towards marine users and is fully marinised to cope with harsh weather environments and salt water corrosion. Bose units are MED approved and Lloyds Registered.
