IWMA and Water Mist at “VdS BrandschutzTage 2024”
After 2022, the International Water Mist Association (IWMA) will again have a booth at “VdS BrandschutzTage”. Bettina McDowell, IWMA’s CEO explains:
“If you would like to talk water mist, you can visit us in hall 10.1, booth E-10.”
IWMA is the only organization worldwide exclusively dedicated to water mist firefighting. IWMA supports the continued development, research and applications engineering of generic water mist systems.
Members of IWMA are manufacturers, distributors, insurance companies and scientific institutes et cetera from all over the world.
The organization holds an annual conference. During this event the water mist community and their guests gather to exchange knowledge on the latest development. With their educational webinars IWMA transport basic knowledge to certain regions or deal with specific subjects. The 24th International Water Mist Conference will take place in Manchester, UK, on 24th and 25th September 2025. Webinars are scheduled for March and November 2025.
Members of the IWMA committees – e.g. the Board of Directors or the Scientific Council – act as representatives for the organization in expert working groups as well as technical committees such as the CEN TC 191 / WG 10, NFPA 750 and 25, IMO (International Maritime Organization) and EMSA (European Maritime Safety Agency of the European Commission).
