23rd International Water Mist Conference will take place in Antwerp in 2024
The president of the International Water Mist Association (IWMA) Are Wendelborg Brandt has announced that the 23rd International Water Mist Conference (IWMC) will take place in Antwerp, Belgium, on 18th and 19th September 2024. The conference venue will be the Radisson Blu Astrid Hotel.
The schedule has been published and some of the key dates are as follows: The call for papers will be published on 15th January 2024. Sponsors can start booking their tabletops for the exhibition – which will run alongside the conference – from that day onwards.
Another important date will be 15th May 2024, which is the final date to submit abstracts and thus apply for a speaker slot. Furthermore, the conference webpage will be activated on this day and the ticket sale will start.
Day one will mainly deal with systems in practice whereas day two will be dedicated to the scientific side of the water mist technology.
Deadline for submissions to apply for the IWMA Young Talent Award is 28th March 2024. In 2024, this award will go to the author of the best master thesis dealing with water mist. IWMA general manager Bettina McDowell explains: “The IWMA scientific council will evaluate the submissions and decide who the winner will be. This is the 8th year in which IWMA bestows this prize.” The winner will be invited to introduce the thesis at the event.
