Fire Environmental Enclosures

Fire Environmental Enclosures are Enclosures for Use in Harsh Environments. NEMA rated protective cover that is ideal for extending the life and reliability of devices exposed to harsh environments such as wash down areas. The Fire Environmental Enclosures offer protection to manual pull stations and switches against dust and water ingress both outside and inside, as well as preventing tampering, vandalism and damage from accidental or malicious operation.

DESIGN

  • Type 4X Rated protective enclosure with a built in 240 VAC heater.
  • Red models come standard with an “IN CASE OF FIRE – LIFT COVER PULL FIRE ALARM” label.
  • Custom labelling available.

CONSTRUCTION

  • Tough UV-stabilised polycarbonate housing.
  • Can withstand the severest of knocks.
  • Prevents vandalism or accidental damage to the signal device.
  • Enclosed bacbox maintains the heat and weatherproofing integrity.
  • Due to the curvature of these models, the depth stated will vary.

INSTALLATION

  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.
  • For use in areas where temperature or environmental conditions exceed the operating range of fire strobe signaling devices.

ELECTRONICS

  • 240 VAC heater units cycle as required to maintain the correct range of operating temperatures.
  • Maintains operating strobe appliance temperature with external temperatures to -57°C (-70°F).
