Fire Australia 2026 will return to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 5–7 May 2026, bringing together Australasia’s largest dedicated fire protection conference and trade show.

Hosted by FPA Australia, the event will unite practitioners, engineers, regulators, policymakers and suppliers to address the evolving technical, regulatory and performance challenges shaping the built environment.

The 2026 program features leading industry voices examining critical issues across system design, compliance and lifecycle accountability.

Vance Rowe will demystify smoke management in Smoke Control – The Great Black Art, while Dr Martin Stirling will explore façade compliance and risk in Firestopping in High-Density Building Facades: Challenges, Compliance and Good Practice.

Jordan Bartlett will examine resilience in Earthquake design of fire safety systems, and Con Nicolas will present From Design to Commissioning to Maintenance: Closing the Loop on Fire Safety Performance in Australia, highlighting the importance of end-to-end system integrity and statutory accountability.

Across plenary sessions and specialist streams, delegates will gain CPD-accredited insights into performance-based codes, regulatory reform, emerging technologies, bushfire resilience and research informing future standards.

The event also features a major trade show with more than 90 exhibitors, the Reece Fire Competition and the Fireside Stage, creating opportunities for hands-on engagement and live discussion.

A highlight will be the Conference and Awards Gala Dinner at the Palladium at Crown Melbourne, recognising excellence and leadership across the sector.

Fire Australia 2026 provides a national platform for advancing professional capability, strengthening compliance outcomes and reinforcing the industry’s shared commitment to protecting lives and property.
