On 18th and 19th February fire protection experts will come together for the fifth time for FeuerTRUTZ at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre.
- Diverse support program offers even more specialist know-how
- “Fire Protection put to the Test” the congress motto
- App and mobile website assist with trade fair preparation
Initially a total of over 200 manufacturers from the areas of structural plant-related and organizational fire protection along with associations, training and further training institutions have registered for the trade fair. The support program impresses with additional event formats for individual visitor groups. In the supporting congress the focus will be entirely on fire protection concepts and measures as well as dialogue with those involved with fire protection.
“With two compact seminars, a discussion forum and special series in the Exhibitor Forums, FeuerTRUTZ is offering information about the planning and design of smoke detectors, fire protection in accommodation facilities and the combinability of timber structures and fire protection. This is supplemented by the half-hour lectures presented by renowned exhibitors on the most diverse issues in the area of preventive fire protection. For the specialist planners, official experts, fire protection officers, construction engineers or architects, FeuerTRUTZ is thus by far the largest information platform in the German-speaking region”, explains Director Exhibitions, Stefan Dittrich, NürnbergMesse. The trade fair is registering a particularly clear increase in registrations among international exhibitors and is once again being held in two halls, while the congress is for the first time also occupying its own exhibition hall. Tickets for the fair are available from the box office at www.feuertrutz-messe.de/ticketshop. Registrations for the Fire Protection Congress can be submitted atwww.brandschutzkongress.de (German).
Tailor-made range: compact seminars and Exhibitor Forums
For the second time compact seminars will be specifically aimed at craftsman and architects. On the first day of the fair (Wednesday, 18th February) experts will be presenting information on Fire Protection in Interior Finishing. In doing so, FeuerTRUTZ is providing dry lining workers, electricians, insulation workers and ventilation fitters with tailor-made specialist know-how. The seminar will also deliver information for example about new spacing regulations for isolation and screening or extrapolated “abPs” (Allgemeine Bauaufsichtliche Prüfzeugnisse, general building authority approvals). In the Fire Protection in Bavaria compact seminar on the second day of the fair (Thursday, 19th February), architects will be able to hear the latest on current changes in the Free State’s planning and construction law.
In both exhibition halls the well-known Exhibitor Forums will invite interested parties to further extend their own specialist know-how. With multiple lecture series on Fire Protection in Accommodation and Timber Structures, the organizers will be focusing on key points, because it is these areas in particular where early and consistent fire protection planning pays off: structural deficiencies and a lack of technology pose a risk to guests and personnel in hotels and other accommodation facilities, while timber construction – also thanks to new fire protection planning concepts – is currently experiencing a boom. With the discussion forum on the planning and design of smoke detectors, visitors to the fair will have a further event at their disposal. The themes here include special cases such as children’s day nurseries and special buildings. Experts such as Peter Bachmeier, Fire Protection Manager, Branddirektion München, (Munich Fire Department) will provide information for example as to when fire detection devices, networked detectors or individual smoke detectors should be installed.
The comprehensive support program at FeuerTRUTZ also includes the “Training and Career Point” with ten exhibitors in the area of training and further training and the free-admission “German Fire Protection” Workshop. The course in English is directed at fire protection experts from Germany’s neighboring countries. They will get to know the structure of the German market and basic components of preventive fire protection in Germany. The participants in the “Fire protection Insights 2015” information event can expect to learn the results of a survey conducted for the first time into the status quo and trends on the German fire protection market.

Congress: Fire Protection put to the Test
Under the motto “Fire Protection put to the Test” experts will be presenting information in the supporting Fire Protection Congress on 18th and 19th February, because, although ordinances, regulations, directives and standards contain numerous prerequisites for fire protection, they remain open to interpretation. “Good concepts are therefore often arrived at in a discussion with all those involved”, says Congress organizer Günter Ruhe, FeuerTRUTZ Network. “In the Fire Protection Congress the participants receive the necessary specialist know-how, starting with typical error sources in concepts through to fire protection for existing buildings right up to the prospects for trends and future requirements”, explains the fire protection professional. In this connection, the participants from the areas of structural, organizational and plant-related fire protection can individually combine their areas of interest. In addition to legal aspects such as discrepancies, liability and authorization, one focal point of the Congress program is the current changes in the area of extrapolated “abPs” (Allgemeine Bauaufsichtliche Prüfzeugnisse, general building authority approvals) and fire protection in composite heat insulation systems.
The Fire Protection Congress will again be held in the NCC Mitte, but due to the growing number of participants, will, for the first time, also occupy Hall 10 located directly adjacent to the trade fair action.
