Dafo Fomtec Launches Fomtec Enviro 3×3 NEO

No-compromise SFFF for Petrochemical, Oil & Gas and high-hazard industries — with no “hidden gum”

Dafo Fomtec today announced the launch of Fomtec Enviro 3×3 NEO, a sixth-generation, multi-purpose alcohol-resistant synthetic fluorine-free foam (AR SFFF) concentrate engineered for Petrochemical, Oil & Gas (POG) and other high-hazard applications. Enviro 3×3 NEO contains no intentionally added fluorinated surfactants or polymers (PFAS) and introduces a formulation approach designed to eliminate the “hidden gum” effect associated with partially hydrated polymer systems.

Reinventing SFFF with 100% hydrated polymers

Fomtec Enviro 3×3 NEO is formulated with fully hydrated polymers — avoiding partially hydrated polymers that can contribute to viscosity increase, phase separation, and polymer drop-out when exposed to water ingress or poor storage conditions. By removing these risks at the formulation level, Enviro 3×3 NEO is engineered to maintain stable viscosity and known shear-thinning behaviour, supporting uniform proportioning and consistent foam quality across varying operational conditions when it matters most.

Fast control across hydrocarbon and polar solvent fires — at 3%

Designed for real-world incidents where speed and reliability are critical, Enviro 3×3 NEO is effective on both hydrocarbon and polar solvent fuel fires at a 3% concentration. The formulation enables rapid surface coverage to help control and suppress burning fuels, delivering dependable performance from first discharge through extinguishment.

Built for offshore and high-risk environments

Enviro 3×3 NEO is purpose-designed for high-hazard sectors where firewater conditions can substantially vary. Its performance characteristics are intended to support operations using fresh, brackish, or seawater, making it suitable for offshore, marine, coastal, and industrial installations where resilience to water quality variability is essential.

Key Features

  • Fluorine-free, alcohol-resistant foam concentrate (AR SFFF)
  • Effective against hydrocarbon and polar solvent fires at 3%
  • No partially or unhydrated polymers (no “hidden gum”)
  • Designed to help maintain stable viscosity for accurate system design and proportioning
  • Reduced risk of phase separation and polymer drop-out due to Partially Hydrated polymer instability.
  • Strong performance across a broad range of fuels, including:
Heptane, Jet A-1, Hexane, Acetone, Ethanol, Methanol, IPA, MEK, Ethyl Acetate, and Butyl Acetate
  • Intended for use with fresh, brackish, and seawater
  • Tested Beyond the Standards

In line with our policy of testing BEYOND the standards Fomtec Enviro NEO has been validated through the world’s most stringent fire-testing regimes — and then tested far beyond them achieving excellent performance ratings.

EN 1568-3:2018 1A:1A – Performance with fresh and salt water on heptane, Jet A-1 and hexane.
