Headquartered in London, we are a British high-exporting advanced manufacturer.
We operate in 120 countries, with Distributors in 80 countries.
Our technologies are used across a diverse array of 25 Market Sectors, from shipping to safety engineering, from process control to mining, from offshore energy to renewables, from healthcare to the built environment, naval and space.
We are proud winners of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade, in both 2019 and 2022.
We are the global leaders in the monitoring of liquefied and non-liquefied gaseous extinguishing systems. We support the fire industry in a full range such as flow meters for sprinkler and deluge systems, constant monitoring systems for CO2, clean agent and Inergen® cylinders, and airtightness test equipment for monitoring room integrity.
Liquefied:
The contents of liquefied gaseous agent i.e. CO2, FM200®, NOVEC® 1230 are highly pressurised, which can lead to the risk of content loss through accidental discharge or seepage through openings, such as valves. Regular weighing of these cylinders takes a great deal of time, physical effort and risk as they are highly pressurised systems whereas our leading range of both portable handheld instrumentation (Portalevel® and Portasteele® range) provides the liquid level and mass content of agent (KG/LB) in 60 seconds, and our fixed monitoring system (Permamass® FEATHERWEIGHT) provide 24/7 immediate notification of leakage, both without any heavy lifting and manual dismantling. Both options go above ISO 14520 and NFPA requirements.
Sprinkler:
Pressure and blockages in a sprinkler system must be closely monitored to ensure it does not exceed safe tolerances and that the sprinkler system will actuate in the event of a fire. Our global leading range of non-invasive, ultrasonic flow meters provide you with the ability to conduct spot checks on the sprinkler system at mandated intervals (Portasonic® range), alongside our constant fixed monitoring (Permaflow®) ensures the full integrity of a sprinkler system.

Non-Liquefied:
Non-liquefied gaseous extinguishing systems, such as Inergen® systems protecting high-value critical national infrastructure, must be monitored because they are highly pressurised and may leak over time, leading to the risk of content loss and reduction in their design concentration, potentially impacting their ability to suppress fire. The world first Portagas® is a unique and innovative contents monitoring solution for pressurised, non-liquefied inert gas cylinders such as Inergen™. Complies with NFPA 2001 and is able to detect marginal changes in the pressure of inert gas cylinders, not related to temperature changes.
Compartmentation:
If a room protected by a gaseous suppression system has leak sites in its compartmentation and the agent cannot be contained in the room, then the critical infrastructure/building will not be protected from fire. An inspection of the overall condition of the existing fire compartments is required. The most suitable way to address periodic inspections is through the use of ultrasound, with a device used to non-invasively and accurately locate and quantify leak sites (Portascanner® AIRTIGHT). Designed to complement the Door Fan Test, before, during and after room integrity testing.
