The chain operated monitors are used in all those situations where it is required to elevate a manual monitor and at the same time it is preferred to relocate the monitor controls at ground level. In such cases the required towers are designed in order to allow for the monitor controls to be relocated at ground level without interfering with their structure. For this reason, the chain operated monitors structure are not intended to be climbed for operational purpose.
Access is however possible using an unprotected ladder for authorized personnel only whom are equipped with all required safety provisions. At the lower end the ladder can be locked closed to prevent unauthorized climbing. The structures are available in carbon steel or carbon steel for lower temperature in order to comply with the design temperature of the coldest location. The internal feeding pipe can be selected among carbon steel for industrial water or stainless steel or Cu-Ni 90/10 for sea water.
The towers are designed to be installed together with the Niagara chain operated Monitor (See DS B.10.30.10.10) which due to its extensor allows to be operated for 360° over the whole horizontal plane. These towers are available between 4m – 13m (other heights are available upon request).
