C-TEC FIA Council Election: Andrew Foster Standing for Re-Election
C-TEC’s Managing Director, Andrew Foster, is standing for re-election to the C-TEC FIA Council and also for election to the FIA Board. His long career in fire safety innovation and leadership makes him a strong candidate for continuing to shape the industry’s future.
Andrew began his career as an electrical engineer before founding C-TEC in 1981. Since then, the company has grown into one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of fire detection and fire alarm systems. In addition to its trusted fire systems, C-TEC also designs disabled refuge systems, call systems, and hearing loop solutions that are relied upon across commercial and residential buildings.
Passionate about UK manufacturing, research, and development, Andrew has always prioritized new innovations to enhance fire safety. His candidacy for the C-TEC FIA Council reflects this commitment to raising standards across the industry. By combining deep technical expertise with decades of management insight, Andrew aims to help the FIA strengthen its role in setting benchmarks and guiding best practices.
“Fire safety is about more than compliance—it’s about protecting lives through innovation and quality manufacturing,” Andrew explained. “If re-elected to the FIA Council and elected to the Board, I look forward to contributing even more to the future of our industry.”
Voting begins on 6 October, and FIA members are encouraged to consider Andrew Foster’s proven track record in innovation and leadership when making their decision.
