Gas Cartridge extinguishers are often specified in the oil and gas industry where extinguishers are usually deployed outdoors in severe conditions.
Gas cartridge water extinguishers are suitable for use on Class A Carbonaceous materials such as wood and paper. The Angus W9G has a capacity of 9Ltrs, will discharge completely in 67 seconds, and has a range of 6m using a jet nozzle to provide a concentrated stream of water.
As part of the Angus Portable Fire Extinguishers range there are three Gas Cartridge Foam Extinguishers. These are the perfect choice for Class A and B fires (flammable liquids such as gasoline, oil, and paints fires).
Top of the range is the F9G, 9ltr multipurpose foam extinguisher using the well proven Angus Alcoseal foam concentrate. This extinguisher will discharge in 46 seconds and has a range of 4m using a aerating nozzle to make a foam blanket.
The other options for hydrocarbon risks are the T9G and T6G, 9 and 6ltr capacity AFFF extinguishers, these extinguishers have a greater throw as they have a spray nozzle.
Angus Fire offers three types of powder in Gas Cartridge Extinguisher range:
ABC muli-purpose powder for all round fire protection for class A, B and C (flammable gas) fires plus electrical equipment.
BC powder for class B and C fires only (Flammable liquids and gases).
Monnex – high performance BC powder for high risks, particularly LNG Alcohols, ketones and esters. Monnex is the powder of choice for airport rescue services and many petrochemical facilities.
